Greatest Road: iPhone App for Motorcyclists
If you have a motorcycle and an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch, you need to get this app from adventurer Daniel Pifko and Greatest Road Software. Think of it as a better way of trading road directions with other bikers. With all the rides shown on a convenient map, you can check out what other bikers have to say, including where to stop along the way, what hazards to watch out for, and how a ride rates on scales of fun, twisty, scenic and road surface. It works in about 50 countries and is available in English, German, French and Italian.

Fur Dixon and Steve Werner
There’s a dust devil blowing in from California that brings with it Fur Dixon and Steve Werner. They just seemed to come off the road,
out of nowhere with big cowboy hats and guitars, yodeling and harmonizing
their highway songs into the hearts of the American West.
Their songs are
filled with stories of the western road, told unadorned in plain language.
Their two CDs,“The Pearl and the Swine” and “Travelers” effortlessly
blur the boundaries of Bluegrass, Western and American folk music. It’s
all about the endless highway and the true spirit of
travel.
